At Thrive Law, we believe that work should be more than just a job, it should be meaningful. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy reflects our commitment to clients, colleagues, and the broader community, guiding us to act responsibly, ethically, and inclusively in everything we do.
One of the ways we live this commitment is through our charity partnerships. Over the past few years, our Forums and Summits have not only provided valuable learning and networking opportunities but have also raised funds for charities, including Smart Works Leeds and, most recently, CATCH Leeds. When supporting Smart Works Leeds, our team donated business attire, an initiative that resonated strongly in our predominantly female law firm. Similarly, when hosting events at CATCH, we actively invite young volunteers to get involved, giving them the chance to develop new skills while making a meaningful impact.
CSR at Thrive isn’t just about financial support, it’s about creating a culture of purpose. We encourage our employees to volunteer, providing two paid days a year to support charities, whether individually or as a team. This connects directly with our wellbeing policies: research shows that giving back can boost mental health, enhance job satisfaction, and foster inclusion. Last year, our team came together to support CATCH Leeds, making a real difference for local families and experiencing firsthand the impact of our collective efforts.
Our CSR initiatives also align with our wider mission to improve social mobility and inclusion in the legal sector. Through mentoring, pro bono work, and educational outreach, we aim to open doors for the next generation of lawyers and support those navigating challenges, including neurodivergent professionals. Beyond people, we also strive to reduce our environmental footprint through paper-light working, recycling, and encouraging sustainable travel.
Purpose-driven work strengthens community ties, builds team cohesion, and enhances individual wellbeing. At Thrive, CSR isn’t a side project, it’s part of who we are. By embedding charitable engagement into our culture, we create an environment where everyone can contribute meaningfully, grow professionally, and feel proud of the work we do together. We’re excited to continue expanding our initiatives, exploring new partnerships, and finding innovative ways to make a lasting impact, inside and outside the office.
