JLH Legal Limited (trading as Thrive Law) is a Company registered in England and Wales under Company Number 10737027, registered office Third Floor, 10 South Parade, Leeds, LS1 5QS.  Our Head Office is Bank House, 27 King Street, Leeds, LS1 2HL.  We are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority under SRA Number 644790.  Details of our director is available for inspection at our registered office. Any reference to “partner” means any shareholder or director of JLH Legal Limited or any employee or consultant with equivalent standing based on their experience and qualifications.

We are registered for VAT and our VAT registration number is 285312991.

Any social media accounts we have are managed by the marketing team. Social media does not replace our other contact processes. This practice does not accept service of any documents via social media.

Please note that email is not a secure medium and should not be used to send confidential or sensitive information. You accept the inherent security risks of providing information and dealing online over the internet and will not hold us responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to our negligence or wilful default.

 

Complaints handling

We want to give you the best possible service. However, if at any point you become unhappy or concerned about the service we have provided then you should inform us immediately, so that we can do our best to resolve the problem.

In the first instance it may be helpful to contact the person who is working on your case to discuss your concerns and we will do our best to resolve any issues at this stage. The Solicitors Regulation Authority can help you if you are concerned about our behaviour. This could be for things like dishonesty, taking or losing your money or treating you unfairly because of your age, a disability or other characteristic.  You can raise your concerns with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

 

What do to if we cannot resolve your complaint

The Legal Ombudsman can help you if we are unable to resolve your complaint ourselves. They will look at your complaint independently and it will not affect how we handle your case.

Before accepting a complaint for investigation, the Legal Ombudsman will check that you have tried to resolve your complaint with us first. If you have, then you must take your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman:

  • within one year of the date of the act or omission about which you are concerned; or
  • within one year of you realising there was a concern.
  • you must also refer your concerns to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of our final response to you.
