Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
We are hugely passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion (ED&I) at Thrive, and are team are proud members of numerous committees and initiatives which support these ideals.
All of our services (employment law, HR, and strategic and coaching support), are all provided with ED&I in mind. Encouraging workplace equality, diversity, and inclusion can help make a business more successful, keep employees happy and motivated, and ensure a business can better service a diverse range of customers. Perhaps most importantly, a business with equality, diversity and inclusion at its centre is also likely to have fewer legal issues arising such as bullying, harassment and discrimination.
What does this mean?
Equality in the workplace means equal job opportunities and fairness, whilst diversity considers the range of people in your workplace. This goes beyond just the protected characteristics, and also includes consideration of issues such as social mobility and regional origins.
An inclusive workplace means everyone feels valued at work.
How can we help?
We have a variety of services and strategies which can help you evaluate the inclusivity of your business and consider diversity and equality. We can undertake a full strategic evaluation, can provide bespoke ED&I coaching, and can tailor a plan to help you consider consider how to best get your business to properly reflect your values.
This might include training which ensures that:
- your workforce and managers understand who is protected by the Equality Act;
- your managers and senior decision makers understand what the benefits can be of having a range of people with different backgrounds; and
- your recruitment team understand their obligations and have unconscious bias in mind at all times.
