Founder and Managing Partner Jodie Hill is joining a panel at The Lifted Women Angels Conference, to inspire and empower more women to become Angel Investors and invest in women-led startup businesses in the North.
The Lifted Women Angels Conference, taking place in Harrogate at The Old Swan Hotel on 26 September, aims to bring together women leaders and women professionals from all industries and sectors. The audience will include active angel investors and those looking to find out more.
In this special conference, Lifted Ventures will be inspiring and empowering more women to become Angel Investors and invest in women-led startup businesses in the North.
The conference is being set up in partnership with The British Business Bank and supported by UKBAA and the Women Backing Women Campaign. The conference will outline and share experience of the opportunities to invest in early-stage companies in the North, highlighting the business benefits to backing female founders.
Currently women represent just 14% of Angel Investors in the UK despite women being half of the population and growing in wealth.
The event will educate attendees on the routes to becoming an Angel Investor, why it’s important to back female founders as well as showcasing how accessible and rewarding angel investing is. The conference will also support the Women Backing Women campaign’s mission to increase the number of Angel Investors in the UK to 30% by 2030 through education, collaboration, shared experiences, good practice, and knowledge.
The conference is a great way to learn more about this exciting opportunity and a great way for women to use their expertise, financial capacity to support female founders. This conference is for professional women, existing and new angel investors as well as women living and working from anywhere across the UK who are keen to support Northern Female founders and give back to their home roots.
