I found the overall experience very helpful, from a learning but also a human perspective. I really enjoyed by interactions with everyone in the group and was impressed how a small group of people who do not know each other can so quickly relate to each other in a positive and constructive way. I undertook a legal placement at Thrive during my 3rd year at Law School, I worked closely with the talented team and came to see how dedicated they are in their work and what they believe in. The Thrive team are a very special firm in that they are so much more than an employment law firm. They work everyday to ensure employees have a more inclusive and diverse workplace to allow them to thrive, through free blogs and free helplines. If you are a law student and are looking to undertake some legal experience, I couldn’t recommend Thrive more. You will learn key legal skills you can take into your legal career and you will learn cross skills like writing blogs, networking skills and marketing skills. It was refreshing to be involved in all aspects of running a law firm. Thrive gives you the chance to speak up, to share your ideas and allow you to be yourself. Fantastic advice received from this business. I was unfortunately placed on furlough from my employer during my garden leave period which meant I would potentially be out of pocket. The information I was finding online wasn’t helping very much however I came across Thrive Law offering free support with employment grievances due to Covid-19. I sent through an email to them outlining my concerns and within a few days I have received a detailed email with resources and guidance to help with my issue completely free of charge. Small acts of kindness like this are unheard of now days so it’s refreshing to see a company willing to go above and beyond for people in need. I have just started my own company so in turn, if I am in need of any paid legal assistance I will come back to Thrive Law for their support. I have also recommended them to a number of friends and family members.
